Directive 2011/65/EU deals with the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). It was transposed into German law through the ordinance on the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroStoffV), which came into force on 9 May 2013.
The substances listed in the following are subject to restrictions as specified in Annex II. The maximum concentration values tolerated by weight in homogeneous materials are given in percent by weight:

The extended material restrictions apply after a transitional period to category 9 (industrial monitoring and control instruments) as of 22 July 2021.
