As of 1 June 2016, Mr. Peter Knapp will assume the position of Chief Digital Officer at SAMSON, a medium-sized mechanical engineering company. This step underlines the company's intention to take on the major trend of digitalization. Mr. Knapp will develop and expand the digital infrastructure for the company's entire value chain in the newly created position. This will allow SAMSON to reinforce its innovative strength and global market position.

Mr. Knapp has many years' experience in the IT business. Over the past 14 years, he served as managing director of Interxion Deutschland GmbH. This company is located in SAMSON's direct neighborhood in Frankfurt and has become the world's largest data exchange node by operating and expanding several data centers. Accepting the new challenge, Mr. Knapp with his determination and target orientation intends to implement Industry 4.0 requirements into corporate practice at SAMSON.
