The Supervisory Board of SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT has appointed Mr. Marcus Miertz (51) to the Executive Board of SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT. The appointment was announced by Dr. Nikolaus Hensel, the Chairman of the SAMSON Supervisory Board, after the Supervisory Board meeting on 20 June 2023. Mr. Miertz will be responsible for the Sales and Marketing Division and take on the role of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at SAMSON.
Mr. Miertz is a marketing and sales professional with international experience in more than 20 countries. He joined the SAMSON Group in 1998 and served as CEO of SAMSON PFEIFFER and SAMSON LEUSCH. On 1 January 2022, he changed to the SAMSON headquarters in Frankfurt to take on the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Mr. Miertz began his career at Bayer AG where he completed a vocational training program to become a chemical plant worker. He then went on to study chemical engineering in Aachen, Germany, with a special focus on chemical process engineering.
