Claude Schwendenmann was officially appointed President of SAMSON Régulation SAS on Monday September 11. He succeeds Stéphane Deschamps, who has held this position since 2015.
Before taking over the presidency of SAMSON, Claude Schwendenmann trained as an engineer and gained over twenty years' experience in the pumps, compressors and turbines sector. He worked at Cryostar - one of SAMSON's major customers -, Rütschi and then Flowserve, where he managed several production sites.
"I'm very happy to be part of a family-owned group after ten years with an American group. I'll be able to combine my experience of results-driven management with long-term vision and investment. SAMSON France has grown steadily in recent years, thanks to the foresight of my predecessor and the hard work of all the teams at head office and in the sales agencies. In recent weeks, I've had the opportunity to witness the enthusiasm, spirit of collaboration and innovation that drives these teams. It's a pleasure and an honor for me to take over the management of SAMSON to build tomorrow's successes", says Mr. Schwendenmann.
Aged 46, the new president takes the head of a sixty-year-old company with over 330 employees. He intends to build on the company's strengths (innovation, performance, flexibility) to ensure its continued development.
Mr. Schwendenmann intends to promote digitalization and new manufacturing technologies at the 23,000 m² production site, in order to offer SAMSON customers innovative solutions. With this in mind, he also highlights the ongoing construction of a fourth building, dedicated to logistics, at the Vaulx-en-Velin headquarters. "These investments reflect the site's dynamism," says the company's new director.
