SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT is well prepared to comply with all legal obligations arising from the new German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains.
The law will enter into force on 1 January 2023.
For quite some time now, we at SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT have been familiarizing ourselves with the legal implications of the law to ensure that no human rights and environmental protection standards are violated in our own business activities as well as in the activities of our suppliers and their suppliers. SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT has successfully put in place the necessary measures as part of a project run during the 2022 business year to detect, prevent and stop any negative effects that a company's business activities have on human rights and the environment. As of 1 January 2023, staff and external parties will have the opportunity to report violations to the dda Due Diligence in Supply Chains team. A dedicated incident reporting platform has been set up at bkms-system.com for this purpose. Alternatively, staff can directly e-mail the team at dda(at)samsongroup.. com
Regardless of the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT made a commitment in 2016 to making the ten universal principles stipulated under the Global Compact initiative established by the United Nations concerning human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption part of SAMSON's corporate activities, strategy, culture and supply chains. By implementing and observing these principles, SAMSON wants to contribute to the sustainable development of markets, trade, technologies and financial affairs to the benefit of everybody worldwide.
