Keeping the process medium germ free is particularly important in pharmaceutical and biotech applications as well as when producing cosmetics and foodstuffs. Aseptic and sterile diaphragm valves are used to meet this requirement. SAMSON SED has been manufacturing such valves for many years. In addition to diaphragm valves with actuators, manual diaphragm valves are available to isolate, dose and control sterile process media. With its Type 905, SAMSON SED has engineered an innovative, particularly user-friendly manual diaphragm valve whose plastic handwheel comes with an optical indicator.
Its features, such as the internal travel stop and lockable handwheel, ensure that processes run safely and prevent improper operation.
The diaphragm valves are made of high-quality stainless steel and their inside surfaces are polished. The sealed bonnet and circumferential seal facing on the diaphragm (CDSA design) ensure that germs do not stand a chance of contaminating the process medium. Optionally, the hand-operated diaphragm valves are also available as autoclavable versions.
